Carrie Lymanstall represents clients in a broad array of civil litigation and appellate matters. Carrie’s recent work includes multimillion-dollar contract disputes, constitutional challenges to government action, regulatory challenges, civil rights claims, False Claims Act litigation, and Title IX litigation.
Selected to the 2017 and 2018 Ohio Rising Stars lists, Carrie has significant experience representing large companies and government agencies in high-stakes litigation. She has also represented plaintiffs in connection with large-scale fraud and breach-of-contract actions. Before joining Organ Law, Carrie spent several years as a litigator at the Columbus office of Jones Day, an international law firm where she focused her practice on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. Her pro bono practice includes prevailing on a habeas appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, enabling her client, who was serving a life sentence, to obtain a hearing that the lower court wrongfully denied him.
Carrie graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to attending law school, she was a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives. Carrie grew up in Ohio and attended the Ohio State University where she graduated from the Honors Program and served as campus editor of the student newspaper, The Lantern.
