Dave Twombly joined Organ Law in 2016 following a clerkship with the Honorable Albert Diaz on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Before clerking, Dave worked in the Columbus office of Jones Day, where he represented clients in appeals before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit, and the Ohio Supreme Court. He has experience with complex civil litigation, U.C.C. and common-law contract disputes, bankruptcy matters, distributorship agreements, labor and employment disputes, consumer-protection law, malpractice claims, product-liability litigation, and ERISA. Dave also has experience with federal sentencing, habeas matters, qualified immunity, and Social Security appeals.

Dave graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Ohio State Law Journal and a Public Service Fellow with Dean’s Special Recognition. Before attending law school, Dave worked in marketing in the construction-equipment industry. He holds English degrees from The Pennsylvania State University and the University of North Carolina.

Dave is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
