Biography

James believes the best legal advocacy demands a well-told story and an easy command of the facts and law. His practice includes civil litigation and criminal defense. While serving as a federal judicial clerk for the Honorable Kimberly A. Jolson, he worked on a wide variety of complex civil disputes, involving securities, civil rights, employment, trademark, RICO claims, class actions, and multidistrict products liability litigation.


His work in private practice and for the federal and Ohio public defender offices encompassed all stages of criminal defense, including trial, direct appeals, post-conviction, and federal habeas corpus.
